One project I completed with students as an art educator was the making of Pysanky- traditionally decorated eggs from Ukraine. This process involved choosing a design, implementing the design carefully with a wax pencil on an egg shell, and then carefully dyeing the egg in different stages. In this project, students used their creativity to try out different designs, experimented with new materials and tools, and learned about a traditional art form.
